Planning and Permitting for Industrial Facility Development
CDIM was environmental engineering and consultant for a large-scale industrial development in San Francisco Bya Area. The project involved constructing an industrial process for the resizing, sorting, reclaiming and recycling of metal components. CDIM assisted in project planning by preparing technical studies (hazardous materials and storm water) to support an initial study / mitigation negative declaration (IS/MND) under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). CDIM the provided environmental engineering services including development of air pollution control system requirements, water treatment and recycling requirements, and storm water management requirements leading to conceptual design documents. CDIM then assisted in entitlement with the City, obtained air discharge permits from Bay Area Air Quality Management District, including BACT and human health risk analysis, and negotiated compliance plans with CalEPA Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) and the local Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA). CDIM prepared final construction documents for site grading, drainage, water recycling, and a storm water treatment system and then provided engineering support during construction.
Project Highlights:
Performed pollution control engineering design and permitting for all environmental aspects of project.
Developed a water recycling system to show compliance with the Municipal Regional Permit for storm water C.3 compliance.
Oversaw air emission source testing for numerous constituents.
